General Manager

POSITION SUMMARY: The General Manager is responsible for the daily Operations and Sales growth of the facility and maintains full P&L accountability. This includes the distribution and inventory of products, safety of all personnel on site and on the road, customer experience and sales growth (with dotted line in managing Sales with Regional Sales Director) and customer retention/satisfaction. Further, insures that all regulations and company policies are adhered to and employees are trained properly. The General Manager will oversee all personnel and distribution activities while ensuring the operation is running effectively, efficiently and safely.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The General Manager maintains optimum efficiency by assigning staff, creating and keeping work and production schedules, hiring and training new employees, is committed to worker and plant safety and repairs and replaces equipment when needed. The General Manager and staff are the last line of defense for quality control of orders to the customer, and this is a key focus to ensuring satisfactory Customer Retention. The General Manager must demonstrate the following skills: Interpersonal Skills: General Managers must be able to speak with employees, other company managers / departments and senior management. Leadership Skills: General Managers must be able to effectively motivate all employees to keep operations running effectively and efficiently. Problem-Solving Skills: General Managers must be able to quickly ascertain situations and be decisive in applying solutions. Detection and effective communications are the required skill-set. Time Management: General Managers face multiple timelines daily/weekly that require precise time management at all times. Planning Skills: Coordinates the plant activities through proper and timely planning with supervisory personal to ensure the total distribution objectives are accomplished on time and cost effectively. Sales Leadership: General Managers must be able to achieve the assigned sales goals by way of directly managing the assigned sales team in alignment with Regional Sales Director. Sales Goals: General Managers must have a proven track record of developing and executing sales goals through the assigned sales team. Pipeline Management: General Managers are responsible for training and enforcing the use of the companies CRM for tracking all sales opportunities. Customer Retention: works closely with all staff and customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and account retention. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: General Managers generally need a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration / Management or similar. 10 years of managerial experience. Proven knowledge of sales management and business principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources and industrial safety). Must be knowledgeable and familiar with industrial standards, transportation equipment and technical expertise. Experience in the fuel and lubricants industries is encouraged. Must have experience with industrial safety, transportation safety, rules and regulations pertaining to safety, quality standards, productivity, demand planning / creation, inventory and seasonality. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
